Careers in Film Workshop - Programming Film (S3+) Various Dates in 2026

Workshop Will Take Place In School in the morning: AM or PM Workshop Length: 50 mins or 120 mins (Dependent on Availability)

This workshop gives an overview of the Scottish screen industry and offers specific insights into the career of a film festival programmer. Young people will learn about programming a film festival and have the chance to pitch their own festival idea to the group. They will consider various factors when proposing their festival, including audience development, marketing and eventisation.

The maximum capacity for these workshops is 30 pupils and 1 teacher. Schools will need to provide an appropriate space for the workshop.
