Workshop: Design Your Own Film Festival - February 14-3

Open to all Glasgow City Council schools, in this free and interactive workshop pupils will learn about the range of employment opportunities in Scotland’s fast-growing film industry, led by Glasgow Film Education team. 

Scotland is home to many famous international film festivals including Glasgow Film Festival, Edinburgh Film Festival and to the innovative Glasgow Youth Film Festival.  In this workshop pupils will learn key skills that it takes to design their own film festival including, curating for a specific audience, event planning, marketing & creative thinking and decision-making.

Pupils will work collaboratively in teams to design their film festivals, to come up with a marketing strategy and then present these to the group. 

Pupils will also find out how to apply to Glasgow Youth Film Festival and our GYFF summer school to continue their learning outside of the classroom and find out even more about working in festivals and film!
